Annika is passionate about working with children and youth, fostering their growth through musical explorations. As an Early Childhood Music Educator, choir director, piano teacher, educational assistant and behaviour interventionist, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of exceptional learners. Annika’s teaching approach is intuitive and nurturing, with a focus on supporting the diverse needs of each individual through a creative lens.
Annika holds a Bachelor of Music with a specialty in Music Education from the University of Victoria. She teaches early childhood music classes and directs the Choir Kids Program, both of which are outreach programs through the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Annika has sung with renowned choirs such as the Vancouver Youth Choir, she was the intern conductor for the BC Youth Choir in 2022, and she participated in the Sarteano Choral Conducting Symposium in Italy in 2023. Annika has her Grade 10 RCM in piano.
