Ryan McIntosh - Guitar
“I believe that music is something that can be enjoyed in so many ways - from strumming by a campfire, learning your favourite songs, making noise with some friends, or getting up on a stage and entertaining a crowd - it really is a magical thing that is meant to be loved. My goal as a teacher is to help to develop the skills and passion for the craft that will bring you to where you want to be as a player. Learning an instrument is a fantastic first step into a world of expression and fun!”
Ryan began his musical journey at the age of 12 when he first picked up a guitar. He hasn't looked back. Since, Ryan has played in numerous bands and attended University in Ontario where he studied jazz guitar and earned a bachelor degree in education, which he has used to teach both in and out of the school system. On a more personal level, Ryan uses music and songwriting as a way to organize his thoughts and to help make sense of the world around him; even when life changes, music remains a constant. In short, whether you want to learn music theory and how the guitar/ bass/ ukulele works, learn to write your own music, or you want to learn how to play some of your favourite songs, Ryan will come alongside and help you to reach your goals.
