Tara earned her degree in Musical Theatre from the acclaimed University of Michigan's Music Theatre BFA program. She went on to study Shakespeare in London, England, then called New York City home for 15 years where she worked as a singer/ actor/ dancer professionally in NYC, on tour, and regionally.
Favourite credits include Tracy in Hairspray with Harvey under direction of Tony award winning Jack O'Brien & Jerry Mitchell), Comedy of Errors (Hartford stage, Tony award winning dir. Darko Tresnjak), Carnival! (Kennedy Center), National tours of The Wizard of Oz & Clifford the Big Red Dog Live!, seasons with Transcendence Theatre in Sonoma, CA, Alabama Shakespeare Company, Music Theatre of CT, The MUMY St. Louis, headliner contracts with Royal Caribbean in the role of Annette in Saturday Night Fever & again appearing as Tracy in Hairspray, and many exciting NYC workshops and readings of musicals in the making.
Tara relocated here to beautiful BC with her husband where she continues to live her "why" through movement, music and mindfulness. Over the last several years, she has been playing the role of "Mama" to her littles, and offering voice lessons as well as mindful movement and Yoga classes all over Victoria. Tara is passionate about coaching performers of all ages to find their unique voices, and helping them to become more confident storytellers and triple threats.
