About South Island Studio
Come Jam With Us! Our experienced music teachers are dedicated to mentoring new and advancing musicians. We offer group lessons as well as private lessons in Voice, Drums, Keyboard/Piano and Bass/Guitar.

Songwriting Workshop
Feb 8-9, 2025
Go from concept to completed song!
Wynn Gogol guides students through numerous exercises to elicit ideas and creativity in both lyric and music writing. This class is great for singers, guitarists, piano players or most any instrument, especially those wanting to understand the songwriting process better.
Saturday, Feb 8 to March 15 - six weekly classes, Saturday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:45
Wynn's approach is generous and supportive. In this small group setting, students have space to write, explore and share their efforts with each other for feedback.
Come with incomplete pieces or begin from a clean slate - either way works well in this class!

Music is a powerful medium for humans to establish a bond and connection to themselves, community, tradition, and their stories. Drum Lessons
We use Groove Essentials - a skill-building system that starts with the basics, then moves to new styles, helping students build new skills quickly.
Voice Lessons
At South Island Studio, we believe everyone can sing. Singers of all ages, we'll guide you to sing in a way that is healthy and authentically you.
Keyboard/Piano
Using techniques and lesson plans developed by the Royal Conservatory of Music, we blend traditional rudiments with modern practicality.
Guitar/Ukulele/Bass
We use contemporary music to teach the skills required to plays guitar and bass guitar chords, melodies, lead solos and accompaniment.
Group Programs
At South Island Studio, we offer some great band camps and workshops throughout the year. Register early as classes fill up quickly!
Private Lessons
These music lessons are individually tailored for children or adults and take place once a week for a 30 or 60 minute block.

Hey Lonny!
I don't know if you know, but our son Vaughn got a bass for graduating high school last year, and he moved to London UK in October to join a trio. They toured Europe opening for Les Claypool this spring and right now are touring with him on a short tour in the U.S. Over the next few days they are playing NY, NJ, etc etc - check it out - Hotthedd.
We can't thank you enough for the music lessons. Leo still plays piano and guitar, and sings every day - he is currently into Frank Sinatra. Before that it was "I Blame Coco".
