KEYBOARD CLIMBERS PIANO CAMP

July 15-19 (M-F) 9:00-3:30
Ages: 5-13 (ages grouped within the camp: Mini 5-7, Midi 8-10, Max 11-13)
Cost: $395/week

This piano-focused summer camp gets kids ready to 'scale' the next musical mountain! Campers will learn valuable collaboration, leadership skills, piano musicianship, and basic music theory. Specially designed to cater to all skill levels and a wide range of ages, this camp guarantees students a lively week of music-making and summer fun! The last day of camp ends with a performance for families.

Camp leader Alanna Kazdan, M.A. Musicology & Flute, B.Ed, B.Mus, RCM Grade 10, has extensive experience running piano-based summer camps. Her teaching expertise will guide group and individual piano play, traditional camp activities, and outdoor time.

ROCKSHOP BAND CAMPS*

Seeking Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Piano/Keyboards, Drummers! Rockshop Band Camp is an engaging youth rock band experience - a FUN camp for kids to learn and perform together with age-appropriate songs and professional guidance. Using lively pop and rock repertoire, students improve their listening skills, learn to work in a group, choose suitable music and have a great time! These highly focused days pack a lot in with in-depth rehearsals that boost musicianship in just one week! The last day of camp ends with a performance for families.

*A minimum of one season of lessons is recommended.

ROCKSHOP CAMP #1

July 22-26 (M-F) 11:00 - 2:00
Ages: 13-16
Cost: $300

NOTE: Running in tandem with our Triple Threat Camp #2, this Rockshop camp will be the supporting band for the Matilda musical (see TRIPLE-THREAT MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP below!). They will also have the opportunity to explore repertoire of their choosing and will perform it all on the last day of camp. Extended hours until 3:30 will be necessary on Thursday and Friday.

TRIPLE-THREAT MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

July 8-12 (M-F) 9:00-3:30
Show: Pet-a-palooza!
Ages: 6-8
Cost: $425/week

With this mash-up of kids' songs about cute and crazy pets, we'll sing, dance and act our way through the week, learning what it means to be a "Triple Threat" musical theatre performer! This workshop focuses on participants' artistic process and creative input within a safe place to explore, create, and make friends. Making props and costumes, painting sets and playing at the park are all part of daily activities. The last day of camp ends with a performance for families. Come see the results of our campers' hard work toward creating a fantastic show!

Show: Matilda (Abridged)
Ages: 9-12
Cost: $425/week

*Ability to consistently match pitch is required for this camp. An assessment may be requested.

With its upbeat songs and captivating storyline, Matilda is a favourite musical among kids and adults alike. With this abridged version, including favourites like “Naughty” and “Revolting Children,” we’ll sing, dance and act our way through the week, experiencing the true "Triple Threat" that is a musical theatre performer. Within this safe place to explore, create, and make friends, this workshop focuses on participants' artistic process and creative input. Making props and costumes, painting sets and enjoying time at the park are all part of daily activities. The last day of camp ends with a performance for families. Camp leader, Inge Illman, B.Mus, Dip Ed, has created and adapted the scripts for these shows. Co-led with pianist Alanna Kazdan, their wealth of expertise as musicians, stage performers, and teachers will guide participants in this enriching musical theatre journey!
