“I enjoy sharing my love of storytelling and teaching mindfulness through music and song. I encourage students to use music to express their feelings and ideas, which builds confidence and sets them up for success.”
Angela Healy is a singer/songwriter, and has been teaching music privately and in the classroom for over 22 years. Most recently, she taught at Oak Bay and Gonzales Preschool, and Ocean Opus Music Academy in Victoria, B.C. Angela loves connecting with children as they explore music together. She creates thoughtful lessons that foster children's cognitive, emotional and physical development. Whether teaching piano, guitar or early childhood classes, Angela allows space for children to move, sing and create. Their individuality is celebrated and there are no wrong answers.
Angela began playing music in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta and sang with the Kokopelli Choir Association for several years before moving to Nelson, B.C. to study music through the Berklee College of music program at Selkirk College.
